COMPAGNIE SUD ATLANTIQUE BURDIGALA WWI VINTAGE PHOTO POSTCARD
Item for sale a 5.5” x 3.5” vintage printed commemorative photo postcard with a not-quite 3/4 aft port view of Compagnie Sud Atlantique’s liner Burdigala (ex-NDL liner Kaiser Friedrich) in her role as a troop transport during the First World War. Card is in good condition, only a slight crease across the bottom right corner tip, postally unused but inscribed in French in pencil on the reverse. Image is somewhat grai...ny and there is slight soiling in places, otherwise fairly clean for its age. Caption superimposed over photo reads “Guerre Naval 1914-15-1916 BURDIGALA Paquebot Francais de la Cie. Sun Atlantique Affecté au Transport de Troupes á Salonique”
