This is a wonderfulVintage Cat Cookie Jar 1940s , It is marked on the bottom “ Patent Pending” , I have seen this jar mostly attributed to American Bisque.The jar itself is in great shape. It has two minor manufacturing flaws, a firing line on the base that was glased over at the factory and some inside small rim flakes on the lid that were also glazed over during production almost 80 years ago, (Please See photos) The paint is cold paint, so there is some... amount of paint loss, But this jar has most of its original paint ...which is RARE. I love it. It came from a recent Estate sale last week! The jar measures 13” tall, 4 1/4” across bottom of the base, 6 3/4” across top of the base. She is a Beauty!!
