ITEM: Antique bronze signal cannon with oak wood stand/carriage. The cannon features a Federal shield mark and sea monster head loops with a diamond mark in between them. Heavy and well made with fine detail with muzzle moldings, fillets, reinforcement rings, and back knob. I am uncertain if the antique oak base is the original base to this cannon although the cannon fits nicely into it. SIZE: Cannon is approximately 11.5" long with a 1/2" bore, 2.75" across the trunn...ions and 2" across at the back by the vent. 7' tall on the oak stand. The bronze barrel alone weighs 3 lbs 14 oz. CONDITION: Minor age appropriate wear with no visible damage. It has minor dents and dings from age, as pictured. As per eBay policy this Antique Signal Cannon is not considered a firearm. It does not and cannot shoot projectiles. It is designed for black powder signal and is used for noise making only.
