EXQUISITE VINTAGE RICH CHERRY AMBER BAKELITE
UMBRELLA / CANE HANDLEPresenting stunning vintage cherry amber bakelite umbrella / parasol or walking stick cane handle.
This exceptionally fine and desirable... cherry amber bakelite handle has a sleek waited form with faceted sides culminating in a lozenge shaped top. The rich cherry amber bakelite is beautifully detailed with inlaid strips of faux ivory finely carved with flower and leaf motifs. Darkening to the recesses of the carved designs adds fabulous definition to the patterns.
The cherry amber bakelite has a magnificent richness of colour and a beautiful lustrous finish and is both visually attractive and pleasing to the touch.
An exceptionally attractive example which has been finely crafted.
The cherry amber bakelite parts of the handle have been tested and are authentic bakelite. The faux ivory inlay are believed to be an early plastic / ivorine.

SIZE: This handle measures 90mms in length x 36mms in width at its widest and 26.5mms in width at its narrowest.
CONDITION: This stunning cherry amber bakelite handle is presented in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, losses or repairs. The original leather cord remains threaded through the handle, however it is rather fatigued and would ideally be replaced. The leather culminates in a striking egg yolk orange bakelite teardrop shaped tip which beautifully compliments the rich cherry amber.
