Up for auction here is a vintage AMC model A-502 tube radio. It dates from the early 1960's and was manufactured by Aimcee Wholesale Corp of NYC under the "AMC" brand name (not the same as the well known auto manufacturer). They appear to have dipped their hands into the hi-fi market making budget/copycat equipment. This is a very basic, unremarkable budget radio for it's time, but does have a somewhat strange off-set board. DImensions are 9 7/8" x 5" x 4 1/4". The case is made of Bake...lite or a similar plastic and is marked as "Sandalwood White" on the back. The radio does not work- it gets power but does nothing but generate a static fuzz, which is due to the paper capacitors going bad. This would need to have this replaced to work again. The tubes look to be in good shape, however! The case is very rough, with a couple of large cracks along the top edges, a chip off the front and to one of the backplate retainers, a cig burn on the top, and scuffing & scratches throughout. Volume dial has a kink in it.
