Vintage Al Mar Knives 3003A SERE No - Paint Folder -

This vintage Al Mar Knife is just out of long-term storage.
This one is the #3003A SERE III folder.
Note that this is an oddity with no paint in the logo and a sweeping top swedge grind
The beefiest the SERE folders with a 4 1/4" AM6 stainless blade, it also has the satin stainless bolster and green camo Micarta scales you'd expect.
Here's the weird part...it has a separation in the back by the lanyard hole, the blade isn't centered, and the action is soft. All I can ...figure out is that the sales rep. who had this knife dropped it at some point. Things happen when you cover 11 Western states and have outside salesman.
I think this is a real contender for a re-handle project. The knife is new and maybe worth something even nicer than Micarta?
No sheath or poly bag with this one.
