This auction is for a pad of  12 unused crew passes. It is called San Francisco Port of Embarkation Crew Pass and it has the words Permit Rating, etc and you fill it in. It has room for signature of the Ship's Officer and Title and also the Crew Member's Signature. In small print at the bottom it says Presidio of SF dated September 25, 1943. There are 12 unused passes here. The last one has a rip on the corner, but the other ones are in beautiful condition. Book of passes measures... about 3 3/4" by about 2 1/2". The Port of Embarkation was really the nerve center in San Francisco during World War II. It was the hub for the Pacific Coast war effort by ship. These are old, original.
