Original Description:
A most rare original wartime photograph ofAM920, an RAF Ferry Command Lockheed Liberator setting out on a longtrans-Atlantic flight to Prestwick.  AM920 wasassigned to BOAC as G-AHYB, and in February 1946 completed BOAC’s 2, 000thtransatlantic crossing.  It eventuallyended up in France as F-VNNP and became the personal transportof Bao Dai, Indochina's Emperor, and was last known as being derelict at LeBourget.The photograph is approximately 8 x 6 inches(...200 x 150 mm), and is in Fine condition.On the reverse is theoriginal caption, dated June 1942, which reads: “REGULARATLANTIC FERRY SERVICE BY GIANT LIBERATOR AIRCRAFT.Aregular Atlantic Ferry Service between the United Kingdom, Canada and the USAis now being operated by giant US Liberator aircraft.  They bring freight over here, and returnfully loaded with crews who have flown Catalinas and other aircraft from USfactories.
