Wollensak 3M portable reel-to-reel recorder - VINTAGE.Bought this years ago for a project. When I last used the unit (back then) it was able to properly record and play back from 1/4" tape.I did some modifications to the unit (goal was to use it in live music with band) including wiring in a new power cord, since the original was lost to time. I believe I did some other modifications as well but its been too long - I dont remember what. :)I ended up abandoning the pro...ject and the recorder ended up sitting in temperature controlled storage ever since, untouched.I plugged the unit in and tested it out prior to listing, and verified the drive motors on the reels and feed all work. I don't have tape available so couldn't test recording and playback.Given the modifications and age, the unit is being sold as-is and/or for parts - but I suspect will still work with a bit of TLC.Note as well: I have some blank 5" reels and 1/4" tape up for sale in my other auctions that I used with this unit, feel free to check them out as well.Happy bidding!
