I’m including a wide angle, normal view, and tele lens on the turret. The wide angle is a beautiful Switar 5.5mm focal length, and a fast f 1.8 aperture. This specific lens comes with a slightly amber filter and lens h...ood. The filter protects the element. The tele is a Kinotel f 3.5. The standard focal length is a Som Berthiot Lytar. This lens can be beautiful, but it has some oil on the interior element. This can be cleaned or the len can be cheaply replaced (or not used.) I just wanted to make sure I at least provided a full turret. The prize lens here is certainly the Switar.
When I purchased the camera I gave it a light cleaning and oiling, and it has run well. The wind isn’t “sandy” or giving you the horrible resistance that these can when the lubrication in the winding mechanism has dried entirely. Since it was working, I didn’t bother to go that deeply into the camera to CLA. It myself. I’ve had enough faith in it to shoot several rolls of film in it, , , in the neighborhood of 200 dollars of film. It purrs as it should on all speeds, but since I’ve yet to develop them, so I can not attest that it is functioning perfectly. It’s always smart to have a camera this age CLA’d. That said, I really think this could go a bit longer before that is needed. I’m happy to provide contact information to the technician I use when camera’s are in need of real love or I’m shooting critical footage.
The camera also comes with the often lost/semi-rare rewind key for doing double exposures, fades, and other in-camera effects.
I’m happy to answer any questions or provide any additional information or photos if needed, so by all means, if you’re interested in the camera or shooting 8mm film, reach out.
