First American Edition. Rare and Extremely Sought After. Hugely Important & Significant American 18th century book.I have researched the signature. It appears to be from "Theodorus Bailey". He was a Senator from New York who was alive and politically active in the late 1700's and early 1800's. You can find several documents online in which he is corresponding with Thomas Jefferson via handwritten letter. The handwriting seems to match in my opinion. He has a... uniquely written number "8" as seen in my pictures of the title page. I was able to locate a very similarly written number "8" in one of the Thomas Jefferson Letters. I can provide a photo if requested
