This was originally part of a 2-volume duodecimo French edition of Machiavelli's works. The first volume (not present) contained Discourses on Livy; this volume contains the complete Art of War and The Prince. Sometimes found with 8 folding plans (not present).&...nbsp;
Corners worn to the board; edges chipped; spine chipped; hinges cracked, boards still serviceably attached. Pages show sporadic light foxing, occasional spots and smudges, some corner creases and small tears. A handful of pages show some minor dampstain at the edge. One page is particularly edge-torn and the same page has some staining at the hinge (pictured). Good+.
