The Sixth Edition, Reprinted from the best London-Edition, 1679. ...Wherein several entire Sentences, omittedin all the Irish-Editions, are truly inserted; many other Omissions, Errors and Mistakescarefully supplied, corrected, and amended. To which is also prefix’d, The late Act ofParliament, made the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Years of King CHARLES II. forKeeping and Celebrating the Twenty Third of October, as an Anniversary Thanksgivingin this Kingdom.
To which is added, Sir Henry Tichborne’s History of the siegeof Drogheda, in the year 1641.
As also, the whole tryal of CONNOR Lord MAC-GUIRE, with the perfect Copiesof the Indictment, and all the Evidences against him. Together with the Pope’s Bullto the Confederate Catholicks in Ireland.

This volume has been neatly rebacked with the contemporary leather boards retained. It measures approx 23cm x 18cm x 3.5cm. The boards corners are a little bumped and rubbed, and the title label which had been relaid to spine is peeling a little to edge. Else good and firm. Internally, there are more recent endpapers to the front and rear (stiff to open at rear). As can be seen from the images, the frontispiece and title page have been laid down to preserve/repair them, as they have been rather chipped/frayed, torn and worn to edges, see images. Both are rather browned and grubby and there is a previous owner's name to the top edge. The first page of prelims has a large ink inscription, and has a large portion trimmed away above the woodcut border, see images. The contents are a little grubby, thumbed and toned throughout, with some marks and smudges, or small edge stains. One leaf has a chip to the top edge and a closed tear just below, and the following leaf has portion missing from top margin, with slight loss of page number and part of page heading. The leaf corners are a bit creased, resulting in a slightly rounded appearance. The last few leaves to rear a rather grubby, and the last leaf is a little creased/wrinkled. Else reasonable and readable throughout.

In three parts, the second, 'A letter of Sir Henry Tichborne to his lady’, and the third, 'The Whole Tryal of Connor Lord Mac-Guire’, both with separate title pages, although pagination and register are continuous.
