Original "1984, " published in London by Secker & Warburg in1949. First edition. Bound in publisher's pale green cloth with spine lettered in maroon; no dust jacket. Cover cloth is faded, grubby with some spotted areas. Edgeworn, particularly the spine, corners slightly bowed. Pages are intact, no marks, age toned. This book is Ex-library: Stickers on front cover and inside back cover are from the iconic Boots Book Lovers Library: The green shield logo of Boots Book Lov...ers Library has a cancellation mark on front sticker, as does the bottom edge of the book. The Boots Book Lovers Library was a circulating library run by Boots the Chemist, a chain of pharmacies in the United Kingdom from 1898 until 1966. Please refer to the photos.
