1925First edition.The Prince of Wales arrived in India in November 1921 and immediately set out for the shooting grounds of the Terai in Nepal. After bagging tiger and rhinoceros, he continued on to Mysore where he hunted tiger and gaur. By February 1922, he was in the Bhopal region where sambur, tiger, and leopard were collected. After taking part in a great elephant procession in Gwalior, the pri...nce and his retinue hunted tiger and cheetal. In Patiala, panthers and blue bulls were bagged. Crossing the border into Burma, several members of the royal party embarked on a shooting expedition, collecting elephant and tsaine. There are also chapters on bird shooting in Udaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur, with additional coverage of pig sticking in Jodhpur and Patiala. A wealth of hunting experiences.
