Rambles In The Woodlands - Rambler Nature Books - circa 1920 (undated, but this series is from that era) - 1st Edition - with d/w
Written by William Claxton, this charming early 20th century children's book is part of the Rambler Nature Books - a favourite of young children.
This particular copy still has it's dust-wrapper, which is incredibly unusual, bearing in mind the young children that would have owned them!
8 colour illustrations complete.
Bindi...ng a tight, and the dust-wrapper is in very good order, with only a small chip to the base of the spine - but it has been loved, enjoyed and read by my Uncle as a little boy - he was born in 1910 and this book was given to him. It's been in our family ever since.
A wonderful book describing the countryside from a bygone age.
A rare edition, being a first and the actual boards are in excellent condition. No foxing.
Most of my listings are books that have been in my family since the day they were purchased, so can be regarded as having only had 'one careful owner'! With my own home filled with books already, I sadly do not have the space for all of them - so they must go on to their next adventure.
