This is a sturdy metal face plate from a cowl cover of an outboard boat motor. The front is marked: "MARK 35 A...KIEKHAEFER MERCURY." The part number on the back is: "175-1562." It measures 9 & 3/4 inches long, in the center. It is 5 & 1/2 to 7 & 1/4 inches wide - depending on where you measure. I think this is from a late 1950's or early 1960's outboard motor. I would call the condition GOOD, but please read the description, see the pictures, and make your own grade.... There are some scratches and a couple of small hairline cracks in the clear plastic over the "KIEKHAEFER MERCURY" logo, but it still displays nicely. The front has some paint wear and a few spots of rust. The back side has some soiling, and is missing the insulation pad. It displays very nicely as it is, but is a good candidate for restoration.
