About the Illustrator: "Libico ...Romano Maraja (Bellinzona, April 15, 1912 - Montorfano, December 30, 1983) was an internationally renowned illustrator and painter. Libico was born in 1912 in Bellinzona, where his father Francesco Maraja wrote for Adula Ticino newspaper of Italian culture. He was called Libico the fifth of his eight children because he was born in coincidence with the Italy-Libya war. His name "Libico Romano" demonstrates this pure and romantic sharing. His father Francesco was then expelled with the whole family by the Swiss authorities in 1936 for irredentist activities in favor of Italy." (from http://www.libicomaraja.it/it/biografia/)Condition of book itself is Very Good+, with only bumped corners and mild shelf wear to edges. Exception to this condition is the mylar cover, which has torn, including missing lowermost portion of rear. Please see photos.
