Sex Life of a Cop was written by Oscar Peck and published by Sanford Aday in 1958 under his Saber Books offprint. Sex Life of a Cop was the only... one of seven books published by Aday which was found to be "obscene, lewd, lascivious and filthy" by a jury in Federal Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They convicted the publisher, Sanford Aday, for trafficking in obscenity across state lines to Michigan. Aday received a 25 year sentence and $25, 000 fine. In June 1967, the Supreme Court of the United States held that the book was not obscene and the earlier decisions were overturned.
