Up for auction a seldom offered C.1948 FRAZER No.11-B NARROW SPOOL LEVEL-WIND CASTING OR TOURNAMENT REEL. Produced by the Frazer Reel & Specialty Co. of Frazer, Mich. in the years following WWII, this narrow spool model could be used for either light tackle fishing or for tournament casting. The No.11-B was Frazer's highest grade model. I've added a photo of an original ad for this reel, taken from the March, 1948 "The Sporting Goods Dealer" magazine/catalog. Face plate is stamped ..."Frazer PRINCETON Deluxe Model 11-B", while the tail plate is stamped "Made In U.S.A.". Comes equipped with smooth level-wind, anti-backlash control switch, unusual squared pillars, lightweight aluminum spool and matching head plate spacer & dual handle grips. The clicker is inoperable. Reel is in about Good condition, mainly because of the clicker issue, with light to moderate wear otherwise. Displays beautifully and is very smooth-running. A very tough casting/tournament model to find from this Michigan maker. To be sold with a very low starting bid and NO RESERVE.
