Offered is a soft cover copy of The Phoenix magazine, Volume 8, Numbers 3 & 4 published by the Morning Star Press in the summer of 1982. 182 pages. Book is in good condition. Binding is tight and strong, corners sharp and square. Pages are complete, intact and unmarked. Interior and text clean. A clean solid book form magazine.
The volume contains the letters written by Henry Miller to the Phoenix magazine. Beginning in 1937, he wrote to submit a manuscript on D.H. Lawrence. As the corres...pondence continued, he was asked to be the European editor, which he accepted and acted in that capacity during the magazine's early years. The letters end in 1940.
