Original Description:
A beautiful & unique Celtic Penannular Pin made of solid sterling silver that is intricately engraved on the front of the pin.  There are three hand-cut genuine Amethyst stones that are prong set and imitate thistles.  This is a solid silver tested pin and the tubular shape of the pin measures 5mm wide.  The faceted gemstones measure 10mm in size.The pin stem measures 2-1/2" long.  The pin from the top stones to the bottom stones measures 2-1/4" long.  This... pin weighs a hefty 20 grams.Circa early to mid 19th century era.A truly beautiful and rare jewel!Likely made in Ireland or Scotland.No markings observed.
