Colonel Elliot served with the 18th Royal Irishthroughout the Burmese war of 1852-53 (Medal); was with the storming party atthe capture of Martaban ; on board H. M. S. Rattler, at the destruction of theriver stockades; and on land at that of those on the Dallah side; in theoperations in front of Rangoon on the 12th and 13th April 1852, Including thecapture of the White House stockade; also at the storm and captu...re of Rangoon(wounded). Served at the siege; and fall of Sebastopol from 20 Aug. 1855 (Medalwith Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
