A chunky author from Briar Pipeworks, Ltd. of Marsa, Malta, the island nation in the Mediterranean! About 5” long, bowl is 1 3/8” tall, 1 1/2” wide tapering to 1 1/8” at rim. ID 11/16”, depth 1 1/4”. Marked on one side of shank GRANDMASTER, other side MADE IN MALTA. A Maltese cross is stamped on side of bit. No other marks detected.
Bit is well-seated push fit with a slight gap, cleaned and polished, showing no bite wear. Stummel is rich medium walnut colored, mostly fl...ame grain, some dings and scratches, clean rim with some knock marks, lightly caked bowl. Otherwise only normal hand wear and patina of years. Great hand feel!
