1944 Vintage Press Photo by ACME. Lt. General Mark W. Clark, Fifth Army Commander, is escorted by Lt. Cora M. Foster, WAC Platoon Commander, of 112 W. Beaver Street, State College, PA., as he reviews a platoon of Fifth Army WACs at Headquarters in Italy during World War 2. The platoon was presented with a plaque for outstanding service and participation in the Italian Campaign. Individual Bronze Stars were awarded to each member of this honored WAC platoon....
