An exceptionally nice solid silver gents pocket watch by Grinberg& Reichman. As it has Swiss Cylinder Escapement & key winding I think it will date to circa 1880-90. It is in the box which the watch came to me and may not be original. The very clean and brightly gilded movement has been full checked and is running well with a good balance swing in all positions. It is keeping good time for a watch of nearly 140 year...s old. There is a winding and setting key included.
The very nice large "fine" silver case with engine turned rear cover measures 54mm diameter approx. All hinges are strong and unstressed with the covers closing well as the should.
The white ceramic dial is excellent with no cracks or damage. Roman numerals and nice fine blued steel hands with probably the original crystal glass all add to the originallity and quality of the watch. A very nice old pocket watch for the collector.
