A very nice old silver gents pocket watch by L Baker of Leeds, England. It will date by the Birmingham hallmarks to circa 1905 and has matching movement and case serial numbers.
The movement has been cleaned and oiled so has nice bright original gold gilding. It is running well with a good balance swing in all position and keeping excellent time for a watch of 115 years old. There will be a winding and setting key with... the watch.
The good condition solid silver case measures approx 51mm diameter. All case hinges are good and the covers close well. The top hinge where the movement swings out has repaired in the past but looks secure. Watchmaker removed the dial to release the m/ment for service easily. This is a very nice watch for the collector or for occasional use.
It has a good clean white ceramic dial with bold black Roman Numerals. Gold hands and the original type crystal glass make this a very nice watch for the collector.
