One of several great Porcelain statues found at a Rockford, Illinois Estate.
This listing is for an large, elaborate biscuit Porcelain figurine of a Classical Beautiful Woman with Horn, seated in grass. She is wearing a loose dress, enhanced with gold paint. Inside impressed 8 L & M. Identified as Letu & Mauger, made in France circa 1870-80. Maybe even earlier. Kept in a China Cabinet.
Size: 11 1/2" high x 12" wide x 6 1/2" deep. Weighs 7 1/2 lbs.
Condition: Upon... close inspection found that there is a minor restoration to ring finger. Very hard to notice. Since there is a flat area on right, it is possible that there was maybe a plant or pot, but since I could not find another state like this, looks great as found.
