Vintage 1897 Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Solid Sterling Silver Double Stamp BoxA stunning solid silver double stamp box fully hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co, London, 1887. It is hallmarked to both lid and base. It has a repousse Art Nouveau floral and foliate decoration with gilt interior. Inside the stamps are placed on sloped platforms to allow easy removal of stamps. The lid is spring loaded hence little rod holding it open whilst taking photos. The cartouche has f...aint initials engraved on it that ate quite hard to decipher. There is a faint wear slit on the lid that is hard to notice and doesn't impact its use. There is some minor tarnishing and small marks in places.It measures approx 6.6cm long by 4.6cm deep by 2.8cm high and weighs approx 53 grammesPlease view photos carefully as they form part of the descriptionPlease view my other listings
