This auction is for a 1955 Madame Alexander straight leg walker Scarlett doll that is in good condition. When you move her head from side to side her legs walk although they are wobbly. The hard plastic body of the doll is in very good condition with no splits, cracks, or stains. She has beautiful dark sleep eyes that move freely, pretty rosy cheeks, and perfect ruby red lips. Scarlett's triple stitched wig is styled in a curled coiffure wi...th no missing strands, etc.
This beautiful doll wears a tagged flower print cotton dress that is trimmed with dark green braid and tiny bows. The sleeves and neckline bodice are tulle. The dress is in very good condition. There is some fraying to the end of the green bows and to the edges of the tulle. The dress does not have any holes, tears, or stains. Under the beautiful gown, Scarlett wears a full slip and pantaloons. The waist of the slip is stretched and the pantaloons have reinforced elastic at the waist. Scarlett also wears a lovely replacement Madame Alexander hat, black velvet side snap shoes and socks.
The doll does come with a stand but she does not have a box.
