Original Description:
Vintage Paillard-Bolex H16 16mm motion picture camera. Basedon the serial number (18001) this was manufactured in Switzerland between1941-1943. The camera belonged to my father. Given his history, the date ofmanufacture of the camera, and the fact that the instruction booklet is inSpanish, I believe he purchased it in Cuba during WWII. He took good care ofhis cameras. The camera appears to be in good working condition. The exteriorand interior are clean without any apparent scratches o...r damage. The hand crankshows some flaking of the plating (see first photo). The lenses have dust butotherwise are also without any scratches I can see.  The interior of the case is also in very good condition andwill do a fine job for storing and protecting the camera. The exterior of thecase, on the other hand, is showing its age. A strap on one side is broken (seephoto). The leather and stitching are worn. The surface of the leather shedsbrown dust. It would probably respond to some simple leather reconditioning. The camera has a single viewfinder which can be mounted on topfor “eye-level focus” or on the lid (side) for “director’s position.” There isalso an eyepiece which attaches to the Critical Visual Focuser. The 3 lensesare: -17 mm F2.7 Wollensak Velostigmat (no cap)-3 inch F4 Wollensak Cine-Telephoto-1 inch F1.5 Wollensak Cine-Velostigmat  The camera also has a detachable hand crank (in addition tothe spring-winding crank for motorized operation). It will come with theoriginal instruction booklet (in Spanish) and a few other documents that Ifound in the case, such as “Frame Counter H Instructions for Use.” It will alsocome with a flat head screw (placed on the corner of the cover of the case in the last photo). The threads of the screw measure 13 mm. I have no idea whatits function is. The camera is missing the cap for the 17 mm lens. I am not a photographer, so if there’s any other aspect ofthe camera that you’d like to know about or any other photos/videos of thecamera that you need, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My father createdsome cherished movies from my childhood with this camera, so I hope it goes toa good home!Shipped via USPS Priority Mail. On Jan-10-21 at 12:02:03 PST, seller added the following information:Please note: the tripod is NOT included in this sale.  We just used this tripod to make it easier to photograph the camera.  The tripod shown is not heavy enough to support this camera for regular use.
