The item for sale is a pottery cookie jar that was made before the middle of the twentieth century by the American Bisque company in the United States. On the side near the bottom is a raised USA mark. The form of the jar is a seated boy using a butter churn. There are a few versions of this cookie jar with different paint. Apparently this is an early scarce one. The cookie jar was previously owned. There are no chips, cracks nor o...ther damage. There is some crazing to the transparent top glaze which is not unusual. The length, width and height are 7 1/2" x 7" x 11 1/2".
