A monk is seated on a four-legged brown stool, reading from an open book in his hands. The devotional carving shows the monk in a very light tan robe. Contrasting are his dark brown carved face beneath his hood, his brown hands holding the black book, the dark beads and cross of his rosary hanging over his knees, and the dark brown stool. His head is bowed reverently, intent on his reading.Including the 3/4 inch base, the whole piece stands 7 inches high, 2.75 inches wide, and 3.75 inc...hes deep. The only marking on the piece is my own identification mark, “B 12.” There are no cracks, chips, stains or repairs. There is a slight circular imperfection in the wood below his right knee. The piece is in excellent condition.I am downsizing and selling some of my collections. I try to make my description and photos as accurate as possible.
