Vintage Tinplate Battery-Op M101 Aston Martin Secret Ejector Car, Daiya, Japan. AFiBA vintage tinplate battery-operated M101 Aston Martin Secret Ejector Car with remote control, ie, James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 as seen in Goldfinger and Thunderball, with silver body, James Bond driver figure, “enemy” passenger figure, bullet-proof shield, machine guns and ejector seat, made in Japan for Durham Industries of New York, USA, by the Daiya Co. in the 1960’s. The car measures 11 inc...hes long by 4 wide and 3.5 inches tall (with roof closed) and is in good original non-working condition with some playwear and paint loss in places anda crease in the tinplate opening roof. The car should movewith mystery action, moving the switch to “machine guns”makes the car moves with flashing machine guns out and firing, and rear bullet proof shield raised.Pressing the button on the remote makes the enemypassenger be ejected through the roof. The tinplate car is in good condition with a few scratches and loss of paint as described. However, the remote battery boxhas suffered rust damage and been repainted and I wouldsuspect this is the cause of the car not working. When the lever is moved on the remote, nothing happens, so there is no connection being made to the car.Marked on the inside of the rear windscreen with “Made in Japan”, it comes with a fair to good original box which shows wear and damage in places but is still ok for displayand makes a nice addition to this classic, hard to find toy. It is marked on the sides with “Durham Industries….N.Y.” and “Made in Japan”.A nice vintage toy that deserves to be restored to working condition, or great just for display.Please see my other vintage toys listed. A vintage tinplate battery-operated M101 Aston Martin Secret
Ejector Car with remote control, ie, James Bond's Aston Martin
DB5 as seen in Goldfinger and Thunderball, with silver body,
James Bond driver figure, “enemy” passenger figure,
bullet-proof shield, machine guns and ejector seat,
made in Japan for Durham Industries of New
York, USA, by the Daiya Co. in the 1960’s.
The car measures 11 inches long by 4 wide and 3.5 inches
