The US Department of Commerce Civil Aeronautics Administration Aircraft Powerplant Handbook is dated January 1949 and has illustrations throughout and some writing on some of the pages. The Navaer-4111 Aviators Flight Log Book is dated 1944 and has writing on some of the pages. The log book is very interesting and even historical as it has Pilots names along with passengers, dual time, solo time, dates, type of machine, number of machine, duration of flight, and... character of flight. Some of the pages have a stamping of US NAVAL AIR STATION, GROSSE ILE, MICHIGAN. At the end of the book has a documented listing titled MANDATORY ITEMS OF OUTFIT OF FLIGHT CLOTHING, a name of Verl or Veal P. Bennett next to APPROVED and a name of W. Staples, Comdr A-V(T) USNR, Supt of Aviation, and lists the types of equipment and clothing that the pilot apparently had during his flight or flights. THIS IS A VERY HISTORICALLY DOCUMENTED AVIATORS FLIGHT BOOK FROM WORLD WAR 2. Both of these are softback books. The Aircraft Powerplant Handbook has some wear around the spine, as shown, and the Aviators Flight Log Book looks in very good condition and has the name of BENNETT, V.P. along its spine very clearly.
