Rare Louis Audemars Pocket Watch Movement - Restore / Parts Helical Hairspring!
I believe this is a Louis Audemars pocket watch movement due to comparison with another made by him that is virtually identical. Click here to see the other example. It is very high grade but sadly needing a good bit of work. Highlights include a helical hairspring, unusual balance wheel and roller. Heavy gold Winding Crown with Stem, Wolf's tooth winding on the Dial side. Cap jewels on the lever and esc...ape wheel. Nail or button setting and lever for moving wheels into winding position. There does appear to be a good chain attached between the fusee and barrel. Diameter of the movement is approx. 43.31mm. It is in a hunting case configuration. Best I can tell the serial no. is 9370 but part is under a spring or lever on the pillar plate. Details about condition below:
CONDITION:Numerous issues: Broken balance staff. Missing small bridge and click to engage fusee barrel. No hour wheel. Broken off 4th wheel pivot. No dial or hands.
