This auction features an antique Grand Busy Bee Disc phonograph. From my research, this phonograph looks to be from the early 1900's. On the bottom, it is marked O'neil James Co, Chicago. The case and crank are in very good condition overall. The wood has been well cared for and the sticker looks great - just a little surface wear. The phonograph was tested and is in good working condition. The most wear can be seen on the green felt on top of the player. This is probably original and ...could easily and inexpensively be replaced if desired. The inside gear mechanisms are clean and in great shape. The horn looks good. There is some normal paint chipping as well as a few blemishes and light scratches. There looks to be a small chip in the metal by the area where the horn is attached. All in all, this is a great item. This phonograph will be shipped in 2 boxes (one for the horn and one for the player). I will need to add an additional $15 (Priority Mail anywhere in the USA) to help cover the cost of shipping the phonograph case. The shipping amount quoted is for the metal speaker. If you are an international bidder, you can contact me for additional shipping charges, but it should be no more than $40 extra internationally.
