Joanies is excited to be offering a very large and very fine Collection of Silver Estate Treasures this week. The Sale will include over 200 lots in total over 2 Sessions this week. There is many very fine and rare examples of Sterling, Old Sheffield Plate and Silver Plate as well as fine Porcelains and Art Glass. So...mething for everyone this week !
Over the past 20 years Joanies has hosted Hundreds of estate auctions, auctioning upwards of one hundred thousand fine estate items during this time. Up for Auction is an INCREDIBLE LARGE c1900 ART NOUVEAU AMERICAN STERLING SILVER OVERLAY GREEN GLASS VASE Part of a very fine collection of Silver Overlay Glass listed this week, be sure to check our other auctions and save greatly with combined shipping.
This is an absolutely incredible Antique American Sterling Silver Overlay Vase. The Vase is one of the finer examples I have personally seen featuring an amazing Art Nouveau Lily Pad design on dark Emerald Green Glass, which I am told is very desirable. I would also like the point out the Silver Overlay is etched as well and the glass bottom of the Vase has a deep star cut design, again showing the amazing period quality and signs advanced collectors look for especially. The Silver Overlay is fully marked and numbered as seen, most likely by Gorham or Alvin who both produced the finest quality Silver Overlay of the period.
Condition : The Vase is in amazing condition with no chips, cracks or loss of Silver. The interior is quite clean and clear with no signs of sic glass or cloudiness.
Size : impressive large size measuring 6-1/2 inches tall by 7-1/4 inches wide and will be the star of even an advanced collection of Sterling Overlay Glass.
