Description: A stunning large English Antique Edwardian tea caddy canister of an unusual design with conch shells embossed decoration. The tea caddy has a splendid cylindrical shaped body, stands on a raised stepped base and has a removable pull off lid with finial. The body has a plain design with no engraved presentation inscriptions, initials, monograms or family crest marks. The body and lid are all original with matching English hallmarks. A very rare design which would make a won...derful addition to a collection. Beautiful quality which is from the King Edwardian era and is of 117 years of age.
Maker & Date Hallmark: Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd (Registered 1891-1904) Date hallmark 1902 and assay mark London with matching hallmarks to both lid and body.
Measurements: Height 15 cm, diameter across base 11 cm and diameter across lid is 10.5 cm. Depth of interiors body is 8.2 cm.
Weight: Silver weight of tea caddy is a good heavy 314 Grams. (Not Filled)
Condition: Excellent condition with no dents, dings, holes, splits, knocks or repairs. Just some light surface marks from use. The tea caddy stands perfectly well on display with no wobble. The interior is in lovely clean condition. The pull off lid fits nice and tightly to the body with no issues. The embossed detailing is in very good condition with no wear or holes from polishing. The hallmarks are slightly rubbed to the body but still very visible and readable. The hallmarks to the lid are excellent and very clear. Overall a wonderful tea caddy of an excellent weight and good gauge of solid sterling silver. A splendid object which is ready to be added to your collection or ready to be used.
