One antique Japanese kozuka. Carved to look like woven copper strips in a diamond pattern. Entire surface has been gold gilt. Middle to late Edo Period 1700-1850. Good condition- minor wear to gold wash, many tiny dents on reverse (see pictures #11 and #12). Measures 3 13/16 inches long and 9/16 inch wide. See my other sword fittings and Japanese antiques.
