An all original 1960s gold plated Rado Green Horse De Luxe automatic watch, Ref 11751/1. The watch is in good used condition, running and keeping reasonably accurate time (but would benefit from a service for optimum timekeeping). The 38mm gold plated case is in good overall condition but with some signs of age and wear to the underside near the crown (see photograph).The lugs show light signs of wear including a tiny hole in the end of one lug (see photograph). The silver co...loured dial, dressed with raised black/gold pillars, is pristine as are the golden hands. The anchor does not rotate freely but does move with a shake of the watch. The original acrylic crystal has a small anchor symbol etched in to the centre. The gold plate on the original signed crown is in good condition. The date is non-quickset. The steel backplate has only very light wear, the text and symbols remain clearly defined. The back is incredibly tight and I have been unable to remove it but I will guarantee the movement is original and signed, keeping good time (but would benefit from a service for optimal timekeeping). The watch is fitted with a black leather strap with gold tone buckle in very good condition. There is no service history with this watch and a full service is recommended for optimum timekeeping. Please note that I am usually UK based but am currently living and working in Oman and the watch will be posted using a reliable tracked DHL service from Oman, hence the slightly higher than usual postage costs.
