Sonning Vintage Watches Just Beautiful 1971 Rolex Oyster Airking Precision Gents Vintage WatchThe OverviewThis is a beautiful example of the Rolex Oyster Airking Precision dating from 1971. The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original Rolex signed steel pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and is classically Rolex. The applied steel hour batons and steel ...hands flow into the dial and are perfectly framed by the gleaming steel bezel. The high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaked. We also have a genuine but slightly later (1990’s) Rolex Oyster bracelet which is in excellent condition and a great size.Watches of this quality and in this condition are extremely rare and highly sought after – if history is any judge they will only increase in value.As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month guarantee on the movement which is long enough for you to assess the working order.The CaseThe solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The case measures 34mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 39mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Stainless Steel Patented’ and the case number is ‘1002’. The age reference is ‘111.71’ dating it to 1971.The DialThe original Rolex signed steel pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and is classically Rolex.
