Antique/ Vintage Figure head from a boat. Solid wood hand carved. Unique piece of nautical art. The woman is nude, may be representing a mermaid, like some of the old ship figureheads did. She measures 15" high x 5.5" deep x 3.75" wide.
It looks like most of the original paint is still there. The white paint is ON TOP OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT. It looks like at some point she was repainted white with yellow ochre hair. The original paint looks to be a tanned skin woman with blue eyes an...d a brighter yellow for hair. The top layer of paint is cracking off leaving it with a shabby chic look. The top layer of paint could be carefully removed by someone who knows how.
Nice collectible maritime decor. The old figureheads are getting extremely hard to find.
