There is one bound grouping that describes and includes samples of all the forms necessary for running vehicles i...n the military. The only one missing is the driver's permit, but all the others are present, such as accident reporting, transfer of vehicles etc. Among the many areas covered are motorcycle maintenance and use. They do a comparison of the Indian and Harley bikes from every angle.
There are also several notebooks where the officer took notes and made little cartoon like drawings. Again, the motorcycle aspect of these notes is fascinating, as he makes several charts comparing the Harleys and Indians. There is even a sheet on training motorcycle drivers. Two of the photos in this group list virtually every document in the collection.
Mentioned in the notes also are training he received on the Bantam BRC and a 1940 Dodge half ton, as well as others like a 1934 Chevy. There are instruction sheets on virtually all aspects of military vehicle use as of the summer of 1942.
I have never seen such a comprehensive collection of vehicle related material. Most is in pretty good condition as can be seen in the photos. One major disappointment was a quarter page document that was with this group which is signed in mimeo form by George Patton. The visible verbiage is typical of Patton, I just wish I had the whole page.
I have many more photos of the documents in case anyone would like to see more.
