Chapin, Division Headquarters Co., 100th Division, A.P.O. 447, c/o Postmaster, New York --- A.P.O. 447 indicates that at this time this writer is located in France --- letter is uncensored;Letter is dated France, January 1945 and begins, Hi Doc --- the writer says, "Just received your letter so will answer, hope you ...get this one a little quicker than the others. Why don't you settle down in one place until your mail catches up with you. I had a letter from Al Miller and he is in Lewis with you, he is in the 308th General. Also he said several of the others boys are around there.""He goes on to speak about a few other guys and finishes with the letter about his brother Ray who fianlly got home from the Pacific, also my sister Mary is over here. I see Frank and Hayes and they are both okay.....Also ran into some of Harry Schmidt's outfit but haven't seen him or any of the other boys.""Lots of luck and keep writing.
