Vintage Men ' S 10k Gold Art Deco Ring With Red Stone Possibly Ruby

This is a very nice vintage Art Deco men's 10k gold ring with a large ruby red stone. I have no idea how to know if it is ruby or a simulated stone. I also don't have a way to size this. I have normal size fingers and it is slightly bigger than my ring finger.
My grandparents were antique dealers for more than 40 years. They closed up shop about 15 years ago and we are now liquidating the estate. They accumulated 1, 000s and 1, 000s of items that they felt were too good to sell and ...kept for themselves. Under a bed in a bedroom we discovered 20 plus old jewelry boxes full of all kinds of goodies. This ring was in one of the boxes. I'm guessing this is early to mid-1900s. It looks like there is stamping with a maker, but I can't read it.
