This delightful 4 ½” tall Modernist Native American pottery and wood sculpture in reduction fired finish depicts a brown striped white bear playing the violin and dancing. It is fully signed as shown with the title, “Music maker” and dated 1996. D. Andrew Rodriguez is a member of the Laguna New Mexico Pueblo Village and creates these mixed media fantasy sculptures, in part, based on Southwest Native American tradition and stories of his childhood.
