Super COOL and hard to find vintage AUTO KNITTER circular sock machine. I don't know the age. Some of these are antique and date back to the 1920s or earlier. This looks like an AUTO KNITTER that was sold until 1930 and then purchased in 1970 and remade as the HARMONY. The only markings on it are "AUTO" on the crank wheel and "C2 OLD" on the handle. It is missing a few needles. It has been sitting on display in the man cave for while. I put a little lubricant on it and it turns right a...round, the needles go up and down, and in and out. The upper needles will fall out easily if the machine is not upright. You will need to line them up after you unpack it, or it won't turn. I don't know if there are a few missing parts or not. The counter advances, but I had it turned a little because it looks like a piece is missing. I will remove it for shipping and you can reattach. Neat piece of machinery. The history is tied to WWI and people making socks at home and sending them to the company for shipment.
