Vintage 1914 Conn Alto Saxophone In Good Structural -

This vintage Conn silver plated alto saxophone was made in1914 according to its serial number (#133XXX) and it's low pitch. We see nosigns of any significant previous damage or repair to this instrument. All thekeys work freely and there are no mechanical problems. The micro-tuner neck works well. There are a couple ofvery small dents on the side of the bell bow (see pictures), but otherwise thissaxophone is dent-free. The rolled tone holes are in good shape and undamaged.The silver pl...ating shows a couple of spots of wear on the back of theinstrument, near the strap hook and near the right hand thumb hook. There isstill plenty of gold wash inside the bell though, and this horn should polishup nicely. The pads are old and this saxophone would definitely benefit from arepad to be in good playing condition.This is an excellent candidate for a restoration.The Buescher case we have it in shows some signs of wear butis generally in good, sturdy condition. The handle, latches and hinges all workas they should.
