Here is an early Datejust in the desirable and collectible reference 6105 from 1953. Rolex has been making the Datejust for an incredible 68 years.

Original solid steel and 14K gold case with original reeded (engine turned) solid gold bezel, signed ROLEX crown, domed acrylic crystal and massive screw down case back. I have heard these watches called both "Big Bubble Back" and "Ovettone." Between the 12 o’clock lugs is printed 6105. Serial number 857XXX dates the watch to 1953. Case dimensions are 36mm diameter by 14.3mm thick.
Original white dial with light patina, applied golden hour markers, applied golden Rolex crown, date window at 3 o'clock, and large original golden sword hands.
Two very cool aspects to this dial: all the date numbers are in red versus the more familiar roulette date wheel format, and take a close look, there are no cyclops magnifier, which makes this one from an early batch, cyclops will be added several years later.
Original C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer automatic winding Rolex Caliber A296 with 18 jewels. Movement is clean and running. Just serviced and running as it should.
Strap is new custom leather 210mm with plated Rolex buckle. Comes with a Rolex Box, no papers.

The movement winds and sets nice. Crown and crown tube in nice condition.
This is non quick set. Calendar advances correctly.
Movement is in pretty nice cosmetic condition.
Has good Amplitude at 270
Crystal is nice and original
Dial and Hand Set Match. No tool marks on the dial with 5X or corrosion
The case has been polished in the past.
The bezel shows wear.
